I'm just a tech hobbyist with a basement computer lab. I've been working with databases in one aspect or another for about the last 20 years. Starting in 2010 I started to focus on High Availability and related concepts, and wrote a book on it (now in its 3rd edition) and presented at a few conferences on availability, monitoring, and other administrative topics. I'm a huge advocate for Postgres and love to bore people to death with database talk.
