Most of us use some form of Bluetooth technology, in one form or another, on a daily basis. Bluetooth delivers our music, connects our mouse, monitors our heartbeat, and knows where our backpack is on planet earth. But do you know how it works? This talk will give a brief history of this technology as well as a playful look at a variety of different applications of Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy, and Bluetooth Mesh. Specifically focusing on BLE and diving into its different applications, vulnerabilities, as well as strategies for testing and development when building BLE applications for iOS and Android.
